Who are we
Blenheim Greenpower is a co-curricular club at Blenheim High School, Epsom for years 7 - 11. In accordance with Greenpower Education Trust's ethos our aim is to inspire Blenheim students to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) through the unique challenge of designing , building and racing a Formula 24 electric car. A basic car kit is purchased and it is up to teams to modify the bodywork and controls.
What we do
Blenheim students compete in events in organised by Greenpower Education Trust at iconic tracks such as Goodwood Motor Circuit and Dunsfold Park. Unlike traditional motorsport events speed and finishing first isn't how you win. Driving efficiently and completing the most laps using the power of two 12V rechargeable batteries is how you win.
What we do in a meeting
During our weekly sessions each year group works together to discuss modifications, problem solve and improve the cars to maximise their potential on raceday.
