Blenheim Greenpower

Welcome back

Students were excited to come back to the club after a long summer break, providing them lots of time to brainstorm their amazing ideas for this Greenpower season. We saw lots of existing members return but also welcomed two new members, who were keen to get stuck in.

Introduction for our new members

Firstly, the group decided to get Mk2 out of storage and go through how it worked and its system with our two new members, explaining how it is powered, the steering system, all the new fancy electonics and how race days work. This was very helpful as it taught our new members the basics of the car, but also allowed existing members to refresh their knowledge.

To do list

Secondly, we thought it would be best to come up with ideas for upgrades and modification we wanted to do with the car this season. So, led by Jasper, the students each came up with one thing they wanted to change about the car which we compiled into a list; to be referred back to later. By planning ahead now we are able to ensure the progress of the club is constant and we don't stray away from our final goals this year.

Conclusion

We had an amazingly productive first session and cannot wait to see everyone back in the New Year for some hardwork and dedication, thank you to everyone who turned up and lent a hand!
